Curry Chef

• Position: Curry Chef • Employer: Royal Bahaar • Salary : £26,000 - £28,000 per annum • Location: Stoke-on-trent, ST4 7NR • Working days / hours: 38.5 hours within a 5 to 6 day week • Benefits & Entitlements: 28 days paid holiday (pro rata), income boosting incentives, employer’s workplace pension, meals on duty and more • Prospects: Salary review; promotion, recognition and reward for outstanding performance Duties and Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook all types of curry dishes from the menu • Create new dishes to be added on to the menu • Supervise and coordinate all culinary activities in the kitchen • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations • Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities • Estimate food requirements and order supplies as needed • Oversee the selection, training, and development of the junior kitchen staff • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure freshness • Collaborate with management to create menus that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment • Ensure consistent quality of food products and presentation • Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques Qualifications: • You must have proven experience as a chef or in a similar role • You must have communicative English level to work with the team • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices • Culinary degree or certification is preferred, but not required
